Ivy farm B & B is based on a working farm, in a rural setting but is only 3 miles east of the Historic market town of Newark – on- Trent.

 

The farm is run by John & Clare Troop, and the B& B was started in 2003 as part of their farm diversification project.  The ‘three star’ rated B & B is a separate annex to the farm house, so provides the guests with maximum comfort and privacy.

 

The farm is comprised of a beef unit of about 100 beef cattle, which arrive on the farm usually as young male calves of only a few weeks old. They are reared on the farm till they go direct to slaughter at around two years old.

 

John also works as a farm contractor making hay, silage and baling straw for other farmers as well as our own. During your visit to the farm you will see the cattle grazing our fields.
